Skin tags are small, soft, benign growths of skin that hang from a thin stalk. They are very common on the neck, underarms, eyelids, groin and under the bust, and often appear where skin rubs against skin or clothing.
Liza uses precision thermocoagulation: a very fine probe delivers controlled radiofrequency energy to the base of each tag. There is no cutting. Treated tags darken and dry, then fall away on their own as the skin heals.

Small scabs or dark spots typically fall away over several days to two weeks, depending on size and location. Keep the area clean, apply your aftercare spray, and do not pick.
Moles, cysts and suspicious lesions are outside esthetic practice, medical esthetics included. Any spot that is changing, irregular or unusual is referred to a physician or dermatologist before any cosmetic treatment. Where there is any uncertainty, Liza will not treat without written confirmation from your physician that the lesion is benign and suitable.
Liza earned her esthetics college diploma and licence in 2000, while BC’s former Cosmetologists Act was in force; BBB has verified her diploma. Since 2003, no licence has been required to practise esthetics in BC, and “medical esthetician” (or “medical aesthetician”) is not a regulated title. BC regulates the premises instead: Cantik’s studio is inspected every year by Fraser Health.
Diagnosing skin conditions and removing moles or cysts are outside esthetic practice, medical esthetics included. These are referred to a physician or dermatologist.
Liza uses the Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G®, a Health Canada-licensed device. You have the right to ask what device will be used on your skin and whether it is licensed by Health Canada.
Who will perform my treatment? What training do they hold? Is the device licensed by Health Canada? Will you refer anything outside your scope?
Most clients feel a quick, warm sting. A 5% lidocaine topical anesthetic and ice keep you comfortable, even around the eyes and neck.
Sessions are 60 minutes for $210, so several skin tags are usually treated in one visit. How many depends on their size, location and your comfort.
A treated skin tag does not usually return, but new ones can form over time, especially in areas of friction.
Often, yes. Eyelid and eye-area tags are assessed carefully; if a tag is too close to the lash line or eye to treat safely, Liza will tell you.
One 60-minute Precision Skin Correction session treats several concerns. Not sure? Book a complimentary phone consultation and send photos beforehand.
