Cherry angiomas are small, bright red to purple dots or bumps made of tiny clusters of blood vessels. They are benign, very common after age 30, and often appear on the torso, arms and face.
Precision thermocoagulation delivers controlled energy to each angioma through a very fine probe. The red colour typically fades right away or over the following days as the area heals.
Before
Immediately afterA small dry spot may form and flake away over one to two weeks. Larger angiomas may need a second session about 4 to 6 weeks later.
Moles, cysts and suspicious lesions are outside esthetic practice, medical esthetics included. Any spot that is changing, irregular or unusual is referred to a physician or dermatologist before any cosmetic treatment. Where there is any uncertainty, Liza will not treat without written confirmation from your physician that the lesion is benign and suitable.
Liza earned her esthetics college diploma and licence in 2000, while BC’s former Cosmetologists Act was in force; BBB has verified her diploma. Since 2003, no licence has been required to practise esthetics in BC, and “medical esthetician” (or “medical aesthetician”) is not a regulated title. BC regulates the premises instead: Cantik’s studio is inspected every year by Fraser Health.
Diagnosing skin conditions and removing moles or cysts are outside esthetic practice, medical esthetics included. These are referred to a physician or dermatologist.

Who will perform my treatment? What training do they hold? Is the device licensed by Health Canada? Will you refer anything outside your scope?
Cherry angiomas are benign. Any spot that is changing, bleeding, irregular or unusual should be checked by a physician first, and Liza will refer you if needed.
A treated angioma does not usually return, but new ones can appear over time.
Several are usually treated in a 60-minute, $210 session. The number depends on size and location.
With correct technique and aftercare, the risk is minimized. Picking the scab is the most common cause of lasting marks.
One 60-minute Precision Skin Correction session treats several concerns. Not sure? Book a complimentary phone consultation and send photos beforehand.
