Precision skin correction, signature facial experiences and restorative treatments — each chosen after a professional assessment of what your skin truly needs. Serving Surrey, South Surrey & White Rock.

Precision thermocoagulation for the cosmetic treatment of appropriate superficial benign skin irregularities. Each concern is assessed individually — by size, number, shape, location and complexity — to decide whether treatment is appropriate.

Precision thermocoagulation using the Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G®, a Health Canada-licensed device.

Size, location, appearance and characteristics are evaluated.
The skin is cleansed; topical anesthetic applied when appropriate.
Targeted radiofrequency energy is applied to each concern individually.
Ice is applied as needed to soothe treated areas.
Clear instructions to support healing at home.
Every session begins with a thorough consultation. No two concerns are alike: results and the number of sessions depend on the size, depth, number and type of each spot, its location, your skin type and how you heal. Many concerns resolve in a single session; others need a follow-up. Liza will tell you honestly what to expect before anything is treated, and will not treat a spot she is unsure about without written confirmation from your physician.
Thermocoagulation looks simple. It isn't. Results depend on the device, the training and the judgment of the person holding the probe. Before you book anywhere, know what to ask — here is how Cantik answers.
Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G®, a Health Canada-licensed thermocoagulation device. Ask any provider which device they use and whether it is licensed.
Licensed esthetician since 2000. Thermocoagulation certified since 2011 — more than a decade of precision correction, not a recent add-on.
Book with Liza and she assesses, plans and performs your treatment herself. No hand-offs: the person you consult is the person who treats you.
Every concern is evaluated for size, shape, location and complexity before anything is treated. If treatment isn't appropriate, you'll be told so.
Moles, cysts and suspicious lesions are never treated. They are referred to a physician or dermatologist.
One clear, time-based session: 60 minutes, $210, several concerns treated. No per-spot surprises.
Moles, cysts and suspicious lesions are outside the scope of cosmetic esthetics. If something needs a physician or dermatologist, Liza will tell you — that is the Cantik Standard. Where there is any uncertainty, Liza will not treat without written confirmation from your physician that the lesion is benign and suitable.
Liza James earned her esthetics college diploma and licence in 2000, when esthetics in British Columbia was regulated under the provincial Cosmetologists Act. Her diploma has been verified by BBB. The Act was repealed on December 31, 2003. Since then, no licence or certification has been required to work as an esthetician in BC, and titles such as “medical esthetician” or “medical aesthetician” are neither regulated nor protected. Liza has also been certified in thermocoagulation since 2011. In BC, the province regulates the premises rather than the practitioner, and the Cantik studio is inspected every year by Fraser Health public health inspectors. Cantik is also a BBB Accredited Business; BBB reviewed Liza’s credentials and interviewed her by phone before granting accreditation.
Estheticians in BC, including those who describe themselves as medical estheticians or medical aestheticians, are not regulated health professionals. They do not diagnose skin conditions, and the removal of moles and cysts is outside their scope of practice. Under the regulations of BC’s Health Professions Act, making a diagnosis and performing procedures on tissue below the dermis are restricted activities reserved for regulated health professionals such as physicians. Moles, cysts and any suspicious or changing lesion are referred to a physician or dermatologist.
Thermocoagulation devices vary widely in precision, control and safety. Liza uses the Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G®, a Health Canada-licensed medical device. You have the right to ask any provider which device will be used on your skin and whether it holds a Health Canada licence. Licensed devices can be looked up in Health Canada’s Medical Devices Active Licence Listing (MDALL).

Appointments are time-based. How much is treated depends on size, location, complexity and comfort; some concerns need a second session 4–6 weeks later.

At Cantik: a Health Canada-licensed Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G, certified since 2011, every treatment booked with Liza done by Liza, and moles always referred.
