Book Fibrous Papule Removal
A fibrous papule is a small, firm, dome-shaped bump, usually skin-coloured, white or slightly pink, most often found on the nose and the centre of the face. It is benign and is often mistaken for milia or a whitehead, but it cannot be extracted.
Each papule is assessed first, then gently reduced with a very fine thermocoagulation probe until it sits closer to the level of the surrounding skin. Larger papules may need a second session.

A small crust forms and flakes away in about one to two weeks. Temporary pinkness can take a few weeks longer to fade.
Moles, cysts and suspicious lesions are outside esthetic practice. Any spot that is changing, irregular or unusual is referred to a physician or dermatologist before any cosmetic treatment. Where there is any uncertainty, Liza will not treat without written confirmation from your physician that the lesion is benign and suitable.
Liza earned her esthetics college diploma and licence in 2000, while BC’s former Cosmetologists Act was in force; BBB has verified her diploma. Since 2003, no licence has been required to practise esthetics in BC, and no esthetics title is regulated. BC regulates the premises instead: Cantik’s studio is inspected every year by Fraser Health.
Diagnosing skin conditions and removing moles or cysts are outside esthetic practice. These are referred to a physician or dermatologist.

Who will perform my treatment? What training do they hold? Is the device licensed by Health Canada? Will you refer anything outside your scope?
No. Milia are trapped keratin that can be gently released; fibrous papules are firm growths of fibrous tissue that cannot be extracted, so they are reduced with thermocoagulation instead.
Many fibrous papules respond to one session; larger ones may need a follow-up 4 to 6 weeks later. Your assessment sets realistic expectations.
Temporary pinkness is normal while the skin heals. Following your aftercare, including sun protection and not picking, supports even healing. Individual results vary.
No. Every spot is assessed first. Anything changing, bleeding or uncertain is referred to a physician or dermatologist before any cosmetic treatment.
