WHO ARE YOU REALLY TRUSTING WITH YOUR SKIN? Esthetician Credentials

The claims may sound impressive. But can they be verified?

DON’T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ ONLINE.ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR SKIN.
“Medical Aesthetician.”
“Laser Practitioner.”
“Skin Specialist.”
“Certified.”
“Advanced.”
“Expert.”
These words can sound impressive.
But before trusting someone with your skin, ask one simple question:
WHAT ACTUALLY STANDS BEHIND THE CLAIM?
A WEBSITE IS MARKETING — NOT PROOF.
Not everything you read online has been independently verified.
A polished website can look professional. A long list of titles can sound impressive. treatment menu can appear highly specialized.
But consumers have every right to ask questions.
What are their actual credentials?
Who trained or certified them?
What training was required?
Is it current?
Can it be independently verified?
Where have they actually worked?
Which reputable clinics or spas?
For how long?
What was their role?
What technology are they using?
What is the manufacturer and model?
What is the technology intended to do?
What training did the practitioner receive?
What professional insurance do they personally carry for the services they provide?
And with BC’s changing regulatory landscape, consumers should understand what is regulated, what is not, and what training, registration or professional requirements apply to the service they are considering.
THEN VERIFY THE ANSWER.
If someone gives you a credential, certification, workplace history or professional claim:
GOOGLE IT.
Look up the practitioner.
Look up the clinic or spa.
Look up the certifying organization.
Check professional registries where applicable.
Research the technology and manufacturer.
Check the business with the BBB where appropriate.
DON’T JUST ACCEPT THE ANSWER.CHECK THE ANSWER.

A TITLE IS NOT A CREDENTIAL.
A CLAIM IS NOT PROOF.
A CERTIFICATE IS ONLY AS MEANINGFUL AS THE TRAINING BEHIND IT.
A MACHINE IS NOT EXPERTISE.
AND A WEBSITE IS NOT VERIFICATION.
You don't need to be an expert yourself.
You simply need to be willing to ask questions.
Because when it comes to your skin, being an informed consumer isn't being difficult.
IT'S BEING SMART.
**DON’T BE IMPRESSED BY THE CLAIM.
BE IMPRESSED BY WHAT STANDS BEHIND IT.**
