Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which treatment is right for me?

A professional skin assessment helps determine the most appropriate treatment based on your skin concerns, treatment goals, and overall skin condition.

Do I need a consultation before booking?

No. Most treatments can be booked directly online. Every appointment begins with a professional skin assessment to confirm your treatment selection and ensure it is appropriate for your skin and goals. If you're unsure which service is the best fit, a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation is available before booking.

Where is Cantik Esthetics located?

How do I book an appointment?

What skin concerns can be treated?

Common cosmetic skin concerns include skin tags, milia, seborrheic keratoses, cherry angiomas, cholesterol deposits, and other benign skin irregularities.

What is thermocoagulation?

Thermocoagulation is a precise cosmetic treatment that uses controlled radiofrequency energy to target and treat superficial skin irregularities.

Is skin tag removal safe?

Yes. Treatments are performed using the Silhouet-Tone VascuLyse 2G RF, a Health Canada-regulated device, by a practitioner with over 26 years of professional esthetics experience and certified thermocoagulation training.

What's the difference between thermocoagulation and laser or freezing (cryotherapy)?

Thermocoagulation uses a fine probe to deliver targeted radiofrequency heat directly to the lesion, treating only the surface tissue with minimal impact on surrounding skin. Laser and cryotherapy treat a wider area and can carry a higher risk of pigment change on certain skin types.

How long does healing take?

Healing time varies depending on the individual concern, treatment area, and skin response. Most areas progress through the healing process within several days to a few weeks.

How many sessions will I need?

This depends on the size, number, and type of lesion. Smaller concerns are often treated in a single session; larger areas or multiple concerns may need a second session, typically spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Can I remove skin tags or milia at home?

Treated skin tags generally do not return in the treated area. However, new skin tags or other skin irregularities may develop over time due to individual factors.

Will thermocoagulation leave a scar?

When performed correctly and aftercare is followed, thermocoagulation is designed to minimize scarring risk. Picking or removing the scab early is the most common cause of any lasting mark.

How often should I have a facial?

Treatment frequency depends on your skin goals, skin condition, and the type of facial selected. Recommendations are provided during your appointment.

Are facial treatments suitable for sensitive skin?

Many treatments can be customized for sensitive skin. A consultation helps determine the most appropriate treatment approach.

What is facial sculpting?

Facial sculpting uses specialized manual techniques designed to support circulation, muscle relaxation, lymphatic flow, and facial definition.

What is buccal massage?

Buccal massage is a specialized facial technique performed both externally and internally to release tension in facial muscles and support facial contouring.

How many facial sculpting treatments are recommended?

Recommendations vary depending on individual goals and concerns. Some clients choose occasional treatments while others benefit from a series of sessions.

Is thermocoagulation suitable for all skin tones?

Thermocoagulation is generally well-suited to a wide range of skin tones since it targets the lesion directly rather than surrounding pigment. Suitability is confirmed during your assessment.

What should I do after treatment?

Keep the treated area clean and dry, avoid picking the scab, and apply SPF once healed. Hale Derma post-treatment spray is recommended to support healing.

Do you offer gift cards?
