Before Waxing
Consultation Form Review
Allow Hair to Grow: For optimal results, let your hair grow for 14-21 days before your waxing appointment. This ensures the hair is long enough for the wax to grip and provides a better result. (Hair grows in three cycles.)
Exfoliate: Exfoliate your skin three days before and again the day before your waxing session. Use a loofah, exfoliating glove, or sugar body scrub. The fresher and smoother the skin, the better the waxing outcome.
Schedule After Menstrual Cycle: For a more comfortable experience, book your appointment one week after your menstrual cycle. Your pain tolerance will be higher, and your skin will be less sensitive.
Pain Relief: If you are particularly sensitive to pain, consider taking an ibuprofen or aspirin before your appointment to help reduce discomfort.
Regrowth
Once you start waxing, it’s best to maintain a regular schedule. It’s recommended to wait 4 to 5 weeks between sessions for optimal results.
It’s normal to experience some stubble a couple of days after your wax. This is due to the fact that new hair growth from a different cycle may have been present in the skin before the waxing. For best results, consider waxing twice before special events or vacations. After your fourth session, you should enjoy longer periods of smooth, hair-free skin until your next appointment.
